Our StoryThe Petal Project began with a simple belief: flowers are one of the easiest and most meaningful ways to show up for people.

Founded by Stephanie Sigmon in Charlotte, The Petal Project grew from real moments—wanting to celebrate, comfort, thank, or connect, and realizing that flowers often matter most when life isn’t perfectly planned. In one of those moments, a thoughtful gesture turned into a scramble, revealing a gap between intention and accessibility. That experience stayed with us.

What if sending flowers felt as easy as the feeling behind them?

The Petal Project was created to make floral gifting feel personal without being complicated. From thoughtfully designed custom arrangements and seasonal Petal Drops to our vision for Petal Pick-Up Lockers, every offering is rooted in care, accessibility, and intention. We create florals for life’s planned milestones and its unexpected moments—believing that beauty, connection, and thoughtfulness should always be within reach. Because when it comes to showing up for people, it shouldn’t be hard.

Stephanie Sigmon Founder + Designer

Stephanie’s journey into florals began organically—sharing her creative process and love for flowers on TikTok. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a community drawn to her thoughtful designs, seasonal approach, and belief that flowers don’t need to be complicated to be beautiful.

Based in Charlotte, Stephanie lives with her husband, Jeremy, and their golden retriever, Winston & chocolate lab, Sam. She’s naturally drawn to movement and adventure—spending her time running, skiing, playing tennis, and getting outside whenever she can. Flowers became her counterbalance: a creative, non-physical outlet that felt calming, grounding, and deeply personal.

Designing with flowers allows Stephanie to slow down, work with her hands, and create something meaningful—bringing intention to both the process and the final result. That balance between movement and stillness, energy and ease, shapes her approach to florals.

A newlywed with a deep love for travel, Stephanie draws inspiration from places, cultures, and everyday moments around the world. Those experiences influence her style—effortless yet intentional, refined but approachable, always grounded in seasonality and feeling.

Today, The Petal Project reflects everything Stephanie values: creativity, connection, and accessibility. From custom florals and seasonal Petal Drops to the future vision of Petal Pick-Up Lockers, her goal remains the same—to make thoughtful floral gifting feel effortless, personal, and available when it matters most.

Our mission in simple. To make thoughtful floral gifting feel effortless, intentional, and available for life’s most meaningful moments.
